Description
Lenox is an American 100% cotton paper that is dimensionally stable and has a good absorbency. It is able to withstand bold impressions as well as delicate details. It is off white in colour and has a supple feel equivalent to high quality mould-made European papers. The subtly textured paper is acid free, pH neutral and designed to be used with graphite, pencil, pastel and charcoal. Due to its 250gsm weight it is also great for using with intaglio printing, hand lithography, letterpress and silkscreen printing.
Lenox was the first domestic 100% cotton paper in America to be designed for fine art applications. The founder of Legion, Len Levine, manufactured this paper to have a machine made grade paper which had unique attributes and the potential to be used as a substrate for a variety of media.
